I have extremely unmanageable hair -- it's been that was since I was a child. For the past few years, I've been trying to shock it into submission with various balms and my straightening iron, but I finally gave up a few weeks ago and let it be its natural, curly self. But those years of heat and artificial products had taken a toll on my hair -- it was dry, frizzy, and just plain BIG. That in mind, I didn't have much hope when I bought the shampoo, but I figured it couldn't hurt.
I've been using Burt's Bees products for quite some time, and I trust the company fully. Otherwise, I wouldn't have shelled out the $8.00 each for the shampoo and conditioner, respectively. Burt's Bees is committed to a natural approach to products, and I definitely think it shows in the products. It definitely showed in these two bottles I bought.
The smell of the shampoo and conditioner was delicious, almost good enough to eat. Using the product, however, was the real treat. It lathered nicely, though I had to use a little more than I would have liked because my hair is so thick. It washed out very clean, as did the conditioner. Usually with conditioners, I can feel it in my hair after I get out of the shower, but there was no problem with this.
After my hair dried, I could definitely feel a difference. Of course one use of a product can't repair years of harsh chemicals and high heat on your hair, but it was noticeable. My hair felt much smoother, looked healthier, and smelled better than it did with other shampoo and conditioner combinations. With repeated use, my hair improved quality every time I used it. I will probably never been one hundred percent happy with my hair, but Burt's Bees More Moisture shampoo and conditioners have made it more pleasant to have on my head. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has damaged or dry hair. Burt's Bees has made yet another excellent product that environmentally friendly and also lovely for your hair.
