Review: Canon's PowerShot Pro Series S5 Digital Camera
Want to Take Professional Quality Pictures? Then Check this Camera Out!
Canon's PowerShot Pro Series S5 IS 8.0MP Digital Camera has an enormous list of features to get accustomed to, but the interface is straightforward and can be learned easily. The 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom is a wonderful feature that can take your pictures up to a whole new level of detail. Another great feature of this camera is Canon's Optical Image Stabilizing technology. The purpose of this is to detect when the camera is shaking or in motion when you are taking pictures. Blurry, fuzzy, unclear shots will be a thing of the past after you utilize this feature. One of the most important features of this camera in my opinion is the large, high-resolution viewing screen. Instead of struggling to see the image on a tiny screen, a nice large preview image will available to you so you can make sure you capture exactly what you want. Canon also designed this digital camera to have powerful movie-making capabilities, so if that features is high on your priority list, the S5 is definitely worth checking out.
The PowerShot Pro Series S5 IS 8.0MP Digital Camera by Canon is a great product, but what if you don't need all the features that are integrated into it? There are many other cheaper alternatives if the price tag is too high for you. If you are a fan of the Canon brand, there is still a great option for you. Canon's PowerShot A570IS 7.1MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom may not have the intense zooming capabilities of the S5, but it is very affordable and a great choice in my opinion. Another option that is one of the best values out there is the Fujifilm Finepix S700 7.1MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom. This camera has great zooming, a high megapixel rating, and a reasonable price tag. This is the camera I recommend for the best balance of features to price ratio.
If you end up deciding you want the superb quality and features of the Canon PowerShot Pro Series S5 IS 8.0MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom, you will want to shop around to find the best price. Currently, the S5 costs $339.49 with free shipping from Amazon.com, which is the best price I have found. With a digital camera this expensive, it's not a bad idea to purchase an additional service plan to protect your investment. For fragile items such as digital cameras, I recommend that you definitely look into the warranty options available.
