Like most of the skin care lines, CeraVe was in fact developed with dermatologists. The product was designed to actually assist in the process of repairing and rebuilding the skin barrier. The price is right which allows one to experiment with the line to see if it is right for the skin. A 16-ounce jar of CeraVe retails for $14.99, and is sold at most drug stores or where beauty products are sold.
According to the reported design of the CeraVe skin care line, what separates it from others is the "patented Multivesicular Emulsion delivery technology." What does that mean to those of us that are lay people and are simply looking for a good moisturizer that is not pricey, and a basic skin care line? The technology works to release the ingredients of the formula in a time released manner throughout the day, which they refer to as "the stratum corneum." For us this means we have a moisturizing product that is fighting all day to constantly rebuild and repair our skin for a more healthy, silkier, and beautiful appearance. Some of the essential ingredients in this time-released formula include ceramides, which in the process ultimately helps our skin to retain water. In addition it contains hyaluronic acid, which helps to hold onto the water by bringing the water to the top of the skin thus preventing dry and wrinkled skin.
For those of us with super dry skin CeraVe is actually an ideal product to use. It is actually high recommended for individuals that suffer from psoriasis, severely dry skin, and eczema. Though it works hard in moisturizing the skin, it remains a gentle product to use and is Dermatologist recommended. CeraVe Skin Care products can be also be used with someone who might be using a prescription medication for a skin condition. Of course consult your physician and make him aware of the skin care products you use. CeraVe Skin Care products are designed however to work in combination with such treatments.
Currently the CeraVe Skin Care Products Line includes the Hydrating Cleanser, CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion, and CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. The Moisturizing Cream retails at most places for $14.99, where the Moisturizing Lotion retails for $13.99, and the Hydrating Cleanser for $11.00. All products are available at online retailers such as CVS, Walgreens, and Drugstore.
