Ever since coloring my hair, way too much in the duration of a month, a lot of damage was left behind. I have been using hair products that all promise relatively the same thing. To improve the hair, rid it of split ends, dryness, and bring back the shine. While some worked well, the results were short lived, especially if I discontinued use or ran out.
I came across Chi Keratin Mist at my local superstore, for a semi high price of $14.99. I figured though, I had tried so many different leave in conditioners, and high beam shine products, why not a mist?
Chi Keratin Mist promised to infuse the hair with proteins to restore strength and protection while softening and leaving the hair silky and shiny.
Seeing that Chi makes some of the best hair straightners, I figured OK, let's give it a go.
My Use:
I have been using this mist for about a month now, and the results are just OK in my opinion. I spray it in after showering, and then again the following day once the hair is completely dry. For me, Chi Keratin Mist does not add shine, but what it does do is control frizz, so it is a plus in the frizz department. However the frizzing does come back shortly afterward, so its frizz taming properties are very short lived.
I have noticed less split ends, and the hair in general seems stronger. The scent is also really flattering, and smells like a fine musk that is addicting. The scent though is short lived, and will not stick around for too long.
The issue I have with this one though is not the lack of lasting fragrance, it is the high price, and the fact that my hair still looks dull after using it, and it does not leave it feeling silky or smooth at all.
In order to restore shine, I have to use a spray in glosser in conjunction with this mist.
Overall:
For me, this one is just not worth the high price. I have gotten better results with other brands with lower prices. I like the scent though, and that this one actually has damaged hair feeling thicker and less splits are present. The issue is that my hair does not look healthier, or shiny.
I would not buy it again at this price. I'd give it 3 stars out of 5.
