Ann-Marie Walker
My Classic Plus 4 1/2 Quart KitchenAid Stand Mixer is the best present I have ever received. I could not wait to take it out of the box and put it to good use. Is it worth the money? Does it really work as well all the hype? Read my review to find out!

Product and What it Included

The Classic Plus 4 1/2 Quart KitchenAid Stand Mixer included the following: 4 1/2 quart stainless steel bowl, dough hook, wire whip, flat beater, tilt mixer stand and a book with instructions, tips and recipes. The mixer also offers 10 variable speeds.

How I Have Used It

I have used my KitchenAid mixer in many ways. I have made cakes, cookies, frosting, pretzel dough, whipped eggs, mashed potatoes and pizza dough.

Review Flat Beater

I use the flat beater the most. It is great for cakes, cookies, whipping potatoes and much more. It is wonderful because it reaches every side of the bowl. No longer do you have to stop every five minutes to scrape the sides. Just scrape once or twice and that is enough.

Review Dough Hook

Before I received my KitchenAid Mixer I rarely baked. The idea of kneading dough was not very appealing. Once I tried the dough hook all that changed. It was amazing. I could not believe my eyes. In just minutes I had dough that was kneaded and ready to roll out. No more making a mess pulling and pushing dough. My KitchenAid Mixer and it's trusty dough hook did it all for me.

Review Wire Whip

I used the wire whip for whipping eggs to make meringue. Again I was impressed. In no time I had perfect stiff peaks. What usually takes awhile in my old mixer took only minutes in my KitchenAid.

Price

Owning your own KitchenAid stand mixer does come at a hefty price. Expect to pay prices starting around $200.00. They can go as high as $599.00. There are many styles, sizes and colors to choose from, each coming with an additional price. Pick the one that fits your budget. You can not go wrong with any style KitchenAid Mixer. Is it worth it? Yes it is totally worth it. Think how much you spend on your oven, refrigerator or stove. Any good kitchen appliance comes with a price. Your KitchenAid Stand Mixer will last you for many years to come. I know people who have had their KitchenAid Mixer for 20 years and they are still going strong.

Overall Review and Recommendations

The KitchenAid Classic Plus 4 1/2 Quart Stand Mixer performed beautifully. I loved flat beater, wire whip and the dough hook. They are all very sturdy and easy to clean. The actual mixing time is unbelievable. In just minutes you have your batter or dough ready. I never really baked much until I got my KitchenAid mixer. Now baking has become my middle name. My kids are thrilled. Now they get sweet treats, fresh pizza and soft pretzels.

Like many of you before receiving my KitchenAid mixer, I read all the hype. The truth is seeing is believing. I am a fan! I even named mine. She is officially called Dotty Mae KitchenAid and has become part of our family. We really do love it that much!
