Paw's Diner is a classic meat and three restaurant. For the low price of eight dollars one can feast one main meat, three hearty portions of sides, and the beverage of your choice. Several of the meats Paw's offers include: fried chicken, fried catfish, fried flounder, country steak, and country ham. My personal favorites are the fried chicken and fried catfish, but I must warn you that they are served very hot. Paw's offers a large variety of sides, such as: fried okra, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, collard greens, pinto beans, candied yams, and creamed corn. In addition to the meat and sides, Paw's also offers the customer their choice of corn bread or a roll. If you are still a little hungry after dinner, which I believe is almost impossible to be, there are a variety of cakes and pies that are baked daily.
Despite not being the most visual appeasing place, the wait staff at Paw's makes you feel right at home. You receive a warm greeting the minute you walk in the door and the southern hospitality does not stop until you are driving away in your car. The wait staff always ensures that you have enough in your cup, for they rarely allow the glass to below the halfway mark. While the man behind the register might not be in the greatest health, recently having heart trouble, "Paw" always makes sure you leave the restaurant with a smile on your face. If "Paw" can not do it, then maybe one of the many kinds of candies for sale at the counter will.
So if you are ever in Clemson, South Carolina and find yourself hungry, I would highly recommend Paw's diner. The wide variety of meats and vegetables ensures that there is something on the menu that will make everyone happy. The low prices, wonderful service, and most importantly the wonderful food, will make sure that you will never forget your dining experience at Paw's Diner.
