Game Background
Basically, the Play button has gone and hid itself again in this sequel. Solve puzzles to uncover the Play button's hiding spots to complete the game.
Gameplay
As the title of the game suggests, this game involves clicking. In fact, all you need to play is a mouse that can click, or even a touchpad. (Note: touchpad users may find some frustration with some of the puzzles, so a clicking mouse is suggested.)
Click around the screen to solve various puzzles to find the Play button. Once you have found the Play button, click on it to move on to the next level. There are a total of 24 puzzles.
You are scored based on the number of clicks you take to complete all 24 puzzles. Your total number of clicks is displayed at the top left. The number and title of the stage you are currently on is displayed at the top middle. The title of each level can give you a hint as to how to solve that level's puzzle. At the top right are three buttons: one to adjust quality, one to toggle the music, and one to open the pause menu to pause the game or return you back to the main menu.
On the main menu, there is a link to the walkthrough for the game, in case you get stuck and would really like to know the answers so the puzzles.
Review
clickplay2 is an entertaining puzzle game. The actual gameplay isn't too complicated, but the brainwork needed to complete the game can take a lot out of you. Each level is unique in its puzzle, which prevents the game from becoming monotonous, even though the goal is the same in every level. Also, the greyscale artwork and toe-tapping music really give the game a very special atmosphere, like you're solving an old-school mystery or something, and they mix well to keep the game upbeat and entertaining.
clickplay2 scores a 9/10 for creativity and high replay value. The only thing that bothers me is how repetitive the music can get. When you're stuck on a puzzle and are trying to solve it, the last thing you want is a song repeating over and over again while you're trying to think. The song is great, but it would be better if the song could change every so often. But, overall, this is a great game. If you're looking for a new puzzle game to exercise your brain, then look no further. Play clickplay2 today!
