I hate getting strep throat because it really cause tons of stinging and burning discomfort in my throat causing me not to want to eat or drink anything because it hurts to much to swallow. However, when I got strep throat a few weeks ago I used the Cloraseptic Honey Lemon Sore Throat Lozenges and they seemed to help soothe and relieve the stinging and burning in the back of my throat really well so I was able to eat and drink easier when I was hungry and thirsty.
The Cloraseptic Honey Lemon Sore Throat Lozenges come in a box with 18 lozenges in it that are individually wrapped. Each lozenge is about the size of a piece of hard peppermint candy and has a sweet light lemony honey flavor to it and a deep golden color. In the center of the lozenges there is this soothing warming liquid that helps coat and relieve my sore throat really well with nutrients that can help heal my throat back to health a little bit faster along with the antibiotics I take to help get rid of the strep infection. The lozenges are tasty, but do make me thirsty, which is good because it is important to drink plenty of fluids when you're sick.
Now the ingredients in the lozenges are benzocaine, which helps relieve pain, green tea, antioxidants, honey, soy, sucrose, corn syrup, water and lemon flavoring. These lozenges do not cause me any side effects at all, which is helpful because I seem to always be sensitive to over the counter medications. It makes me happy to know that when I take one of the Cloraseptic Honey Lemon Sore Throat Lozenges it will help soothe my throat and make me feel better instead of making me feel worse.
The way I use the lozenges to soothe my sore throat when I was sick with strep is by taking one every couple of hours. I also sucked on a lozenge before I had anything to eat or drink to make swallowing a bit easier since the lozenges do help provide a warming sensation that is very soothing to the throat for a good amount of time. I know anytime I had a lozenge my throat would be soothed for almost 3 hours, which made having strep throat a little bit easier.
Anyways, I would recommend the Cloraseptic Honey Lemon Sore Throat Lozenges to any adult to use to help soothe a sore throat due to strep throat, or simply because it is irritated because it they worked well for me. I do think the lozenges are affordable and definitely worth using and I will use them again in the future to soothe other sore throats I might have. I wish you all the best with staying well this year.
