Review: Country Inn & Suites Bensenville, Illinois

A Great Chicagoland Option

Marcia Frost
Just outside of Chicago - and not far from O'Hare airport - I found an inexpensive hotel that is worth a visit. The Country Inn & Suites O'Hare South is about 15 minutes from the airport and about a half hour from downtown Chicago.

This hotel is clean and well-kept, offering complimentary services like a free airport shuttle, high speed internet and breakfast (a nice selection of breads, pastries, yogurt, fruit and muffins). There is an indoor pool and fitness center on the premises, as well as laundry facilities and a conference center. The Country Inn and Suites in Bensenville also has a small store on the premises for snacks and cosmetic items you may have forgotten.

I was impressed with the rooms at the Country Inn. The prices range from $70-$105, depending on the timing and the specials (they have many options available on their website). I stayed in the one bedroom suite, which had a sofabed in a separate living area that also included a microwave and refrigerator. They also have studio suites with similar amenities in one large room. The standard guest t rooms are more than adequate, though they don't have the refrigerator and microwave.

The staff at the Country Inn & Suites could not have been more accommodating. I was leaving my car there before a trip (they have incredible parking packages that allow you to leave your car and stay over before or after your trip). While I waited for the airport shuttle, the desk clerk helped me get online and offered me fresh baked cookies! When I came back a week later, I had injured my foot and Bob not only helped me in and out of the bus, carrying all of my luggage, but was waiting to do the same the next morning. All of the hotel staff couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating.
