I love a good cup of hot cocoa in the wintertime when it is a bit chilly. However, I do not like the hot cocoas filled with unnatural ingredients, which is why I make my hot cocoa with the Dagoba Organics Xocolatl Hot Chocolate Powder. It makes a tasty warm hot cup of hot cocoa that actually contains antioxidants in it that are nourishing to my body.
The Dagoba Organics Xocolatl Hot Chocolate Powder comes in a 12 ounce container, which makes me about 20 cups of hot cocoa. The hot cocoa powder is made with organic ingredients such as cane sugar, cinnamon, cocoa powder, chocolate and cayenne pepper. The hot cocoa is a bit pricey, but again all the ingredients in it are organic and pure and will not harm the body.
The way I enjoy making my hot cocoa is by warming up some goat's milk on the stove in a small pan. Then I like to take about 5 to 6 teaspoons of the hot cocoa powder and stir it directly into the warm goat's milk on the stove until I have a rich creamy chocolaty hot cocoa. After, I simply pour the hot cocoa in a cup and top it off with some organic marshmallows or fresh whipping cream with sprinkles of freshly shaved dark chocolate. Then I sip the rich hot cocoa drink down slowly to help warm me up and ease my chocolate sweet tooth away. By the way, the hot cocoa powder does dissolve fast because it is fine and powdery in texture.
Another way I enjoy using the hot cocoa powder is to make chocolate oatmeal. I simply add 1/2 cup of milk to a sauce pan along with 1 cup of rolled oats and a half cup of the hot cocoa powder. Then I simply cook the oatmeal until it is soft, mushy and chocolaty on medium heat while stirring so the oats do not stick to the pan. After, I scoop the hot chocolate oatmeal into a bowl and eat up for a tasty breakfast or dessert that is heart healthy, warming and filling.
I would definitely recommend this organic hot chocolate powder to anyone to use to make a tasty organic cup hot cocoa that is good and nourishing to the body. I do hope those of you who try this hot cocoa powder as well like the cup of hot cocoa it can make for you on a cold winters day as much as I do.
