Review: Dannon Danimals Yogurt Smoothie Drinks

I plan on doing some grocery shopping after work tonight because there are a few things I need to pick up. Most of them are common staples like milk, eggs, etc. However, one item I have found myself buying more often is packages of Dannon Danimals Yogurt Smoothie Drinks.

This is not a product I purchase for myself. As I have mentioned in the past, I'm not a big yogurt person and really leave consumption of that type of product to the rest of my family (my wife and two daughters). But, I do know what my kids love and I have to say they love these.

This is especially true of our youngest daughter. I'm not sure when she first tried this product (and I'm assuming she only did because she saw her big sister drinking one) but she is addicted to these things. And, as a parent, I love it; both because these are healthier than the types of things she would normally eat and because they are easy for her to hold. All I have to do is cut a little hole in the foil covering the top, put in a straw and she'll walk around the house drinking it.

I should mention this is one of the few things I never have to fight with her about. If she doesn't seem very hungry (which is common when she doesn't nap), I can give her one of these and she'll enthusiastically drink it. It doesn't even matter what flavor we end up buying (I don't even look at the flavor half the time).

Her older sister also likes these and, when we have them, she usually wants us to put them in her school lunches. She'll also end up drinking one if she sees her sister having one.

My only real complaint about this product is, they enjoy them so much, I wish they came in a larger size. The small containers they come in aren't even close to holding enough and both of my girls usually end up wanting a second one seconds after finishing the first.

Overall though, I think this is a good product and one I hope Dannon continues to carry. If you are a parent looking for something for your kids that is healthy for them to eat/drink, this is a product I recommend looking for in your store's dairy section. I know we'll be buying plenty more of them.
