Game Background

You are a boy with no fairy and have decided to make something of yourself. You have decided to retrieve King Walrus' Golden Statue, with the reward of controlling the King's army.

Gameplay

Defend Your Honor! is essentially a tower defense game that is a little more strategically involved than your average TD game.

When you begin the game, you can choose between a number of doors that will lead you to different enemy waves of varying difficulty. It is suggested that you start from door number 1, then progress as you gain experience.

Like with any other tower defense game, set up your units strategically to attack incoming enemies. In Defend Your Honor!, you are protecting a key that will unlock dungeon doors that lead to the Golden Statue that you seek.

At the bottom of the screen, you can see the health of the key. Once the key is destroyed, you will have to start the wave over again. After this health bar, you can see the enemies that will be coming up during this wave. At the bottom-right of the screen, you can see how much money you have made. Money can be obtained from defeating individual enemies as well as completing waves.

As you advance through the game, you will be able to use a variety of units. These include the following:
-Elven Mage: the unit you begin with; medium range but powerful magical attack
-Dwarven Brawler: short range; fast and powerful ground attacks
-Troll Rogue: long range; air-based attacks using shurikens
-Human Bard: slows enemies down
-Undead Cleric: improves the attacking power and speed of nearby units

To obtain new units, complete the stages behind doors to obtain enough keys to open a dungeon door. Opening dungeon doors will unlock new units for you to purchase.

You can purchase additional units in the shop.

There are two modes of difficulty to choose from: Normal and Extreme.

Play through both if you're looking for more of a challenge.

Game Review

Defend Your Honor! is a addicting tower defense strategy game that is unlike most other TD games. One difference is in the overall structure of this game, which follows an adventure storyline that other TD games lack. Having a storyline keeps players interested in continuing the game. Also, the tower defense aspects of the game are not too extensive and repetitive, which helps to retain the game's entertainment value. Also, the music adds to the overall adventurous atmosphere of the game, keeping players interested as they progress through the game. The use of different music for different settings throughout the game keep the game from becoming repetitive.

Defend Your Honor! scores a 10/10 for being a creative take on the classic tower defense theme.
