One size fits all means no matter your age, this will work well. It stays in place with less material. DenTek Nightguard has a wear indicator that tells you when to replace. The Retention Band holds the DenTek Nightguard in place while you sleep. It easily adjusts to whatever size you need without boiling, and has 4 adjustment positions. You just pop it in your mouth and you are good to go.
This DenTek Nightguard is much better then the previous one I reviewed. There is a lot less bulk in your mouth making it easier and more comfortable to sleep with. However, what isn't stated on the package that I feel is very important, is the fact that this DenTek Nightguard is ONLY for the lower teeth. The back of the packaging is deceiving showing you a flat wall in the front so you can use it for your top teeth or your bottom. But that's simply not the case. There is a lower dip in the front for the part of your lip skin attachment to sit between. This can often be very uncomfortable. If you don't place it directly in your mouth perfectly, it hurts up by your lip. The constant shifting to try to get the DenTek Nightguard to place correctly ends up irritating it to the point you will end up pulling the night guard out. I really wish I had known that it was ONLY for the lower teeth. I sometimes shift my to the top from the bottom all depending upon my mood. I think of this as false adverting, and a form of fraud, it's misleading. Even on the website it shows it without the dip. http://www.dentekoralcare.com/nightguard/faqs.html DenTek does offer a guarantee though so they will gladly send you a replacement or a refund of your money if you aren't happy. Details are always inside any package of DenTek.
If you still have your wisdom teeth, this night guard doesn't extend to them, yet another area where it's lacking. DenTek assumes everyone will, or has already had their wisdom teeth removed. Not everyone can afford $1000 a tooth removal, plus if people could afford that, they could afford to purchase a night guard from a dentist and not waste their money on any mouth guard by DenTek.
So once again, DenTek Nightguards leave me cold and unhappy. The DenTek may be comfortable to some people, but if you wanted one for the top, you've been as deceived as I have.
Needless to say I ended up getting my money back on this one.
