Review of Different E-currencies

Jason Ward
I thought I would write a little review of some of the different E-currencies I have been using recently to do things online(Poker, Shopping etc) hope you find this info useful

PayPal
This one is definitely on the top of my list as it is the definitely one of the easiest and most widespread type of currency being used online. It comes very handy if you are an eBay buyer or seller and want safer transactions and more clients. There is a PayPal site for most countries and depending on the country the rules change a little (I know because I have two accounts from different countries). It is very easy to fund a PayPal account you just need a credit, debit or even just a normal bank card to verify it and lift the sending and receiving limits. When you want to send money to another PayPal user all you need to do is enter the email address that is connected to their account and the funds should appear immediately or very soon. You can also send requests for money to anybody's email whether they have PayPal or not and if not it gives them a very simple way of opening one.
All in all it is a very reliable and fast e-currency account and is very highly rated in my books.

Webmoney

This is a Russian based online money system and works similar to PayPal although it is less widely know and accepted. Whereas PayPal is not so secure in their login and browsing time Webmoney is very strict and they make you download a program and have a special code for each time you go online. There is a number of casino and poker sites that accept Webmoney as well as a host of online shops. Adding funds to your account is also quite easy and you can connect most bank accounts to it, you can also buy recharge cards in select stores and centers across the world to top up your account fast. Personally I prefer PayPal but if you want something different you can try this on to see if there any advantages for you.

E-gold

Well I've heard a lot about e-gold and was curious to get an account but when I went to the site it told me it was not giving away accounts at this time, I did a little research and found out the CEO of the company is currently in court for fraud and money laundering as well as some of the other founding members, so I guess I will never find out what their accounts are like as I doubt they will be around for much longer.

Well that is it for now but I'll let you know the next time an interesting new e-currency comes to light.

I love writing and I'll do a review on pretty much anything if it sparks my interest.  View profile
