Review of the New DiGiorno Flatbread Melts Chicken Parmesan

Daisy May
I recently purchased the New DiGiorno Flatbread Melts Chicken Parmesan for the first time. Since I am a fan of other DiGiorno products like the frozen DiGiorno Supreme Garlic Bread Pizza, I figured that it would be a good buy.

DiGiorno Flatbread Melts Chicken Parmesan can only be cooked in the microwave. The Flatbread Melts includes a silver side cooking tray. The instructions have different cooking times for various strength microwave ovens ranging from three minutes and forty-five seconds to two minutes and thirty seconds. The DiGiorno Flatbread Melts have to be folded in half digonally on the silver side cooking tray. For food safety, DiGiorno reccomends letting the Flatbread Melt Chicken Parmesan stand for one minute directly before you fold the Flatbread Melt and also after you fold the Flatbread Melt.

The box claims that the flatbread is toasty on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. The flatbread is indeed soft, tender, toasted and very tasty. I was expecting a salty taste but there was none. It seemed to be freshly baked.

The topping that took center stage was the chopped green pepper. I was amazed at the amount of green pepper considering the Flatbread Melt is folded. The cheese was sparse and the sauce and chicken moderate. The chicken was chopped into very small squares. All of the toppings cooked up very nicely with none being overdone or undercooked. However, there wasn't anything exceptional about the taste.

The DiGiorno Flatbread Melts is a quick and easy meal for one. The DiGiorno Flatbread Melt Chicken Parmesan isn't exactly health food though with each serving containing 14g fat (22%) and 750 mg (31%) sodium. A person could rationalize that the serving of vegetables forgives the shortcomings though. The DiGiorno Flatbread Melts Chicken Parmesan also gives you 10% of Vitamin A and 20% of Calcium.

DiGiorno Flatbread Melts come in several flavors including Italian Style Meatball & Four Cheese, Chicken & Bacon Ranch, and Steak and Fire Roasted Vegetables. The DiGiorno Flatbread Melts Chicken Parmesan cost almost three dollars for a single serving box at Walmart, but can be found at most grocery stores.

I would recommend DiGiorno Flatbread Melts Chicken Parmesan to anyone looking for an everyday meal. It is quick and easy to make, tastes good and is filling. It would even be a wonderful vegetable containing meal to feed a child on the go, or perfect for when you are eating at the office.
