The Dingo Dental Sticks are green in color and are long, thin sticks. They are made from a minimum of eighty percent crude protein. A Harvard Medical School study confirms that rawhide is fully digestible and safe for all dogs.
Dingo Dental Sticks serve three purposes- to clean teeth, freshen breathe and as a daily snack. The Dingo Dental Sticks clean a dog's teeth through the animal's natural chewing motion. The chlorophyll and parsley seed is an added benefit that helps to clean your dog's teeth and freshen their breath. Baking Soda is also an ingredient of Dingo Dental Treats and is used to freshen breath and clean and whiten teeth. After following the directions which say to give your dog one treat daily, I can honestly say it does help to promote fresh breath. Her teeth were already white, and I haven't seen that improve or decrease.
Dingo Dental Sticks supposedly taste like chicken. The chicken bits in the middle should make dogs love this treat. While my little dog ate the treat, she ate on it slowly with large periods of time in between before finishing it. I got the impression that to her it was like diet food to us- eatable but not desirable. The back of the Dingo Dental Treats box claims that in taste tests Dingo Dental Treats were preferred over standard rawhide chews by nine out of ten dogs. That is not my experience. My dog would much prefer the standard rawhide.
I recommend Dingo Dental Sticks to dog owners based on the breath freshening and dental cleaning. However, it does need to be recognized that the Dingo Dental Treats are not likely to be eaten as vigorously as some other treats. Still, the treats will be consumed albeit slowly and the benefits of the Dingo Dental Sticks are evident.
Dingo Dental Sticks can be purchased at many stores including Family Dollar and Walmart for a buck or two. Although Dingo Dental Sticks are distributed out of Cincinnati, Ohio, the dog treats are made in China.
