Even though she still does a better job than her older sister when it comes to eating, our youngest daughter is starting to get a bit picky at meal times and, as a result, my wife and I were a bit concerned she wasn't getting all her nutrition. Because of this, we decided to once again start her on a daily vitamin; just to make sure.
I'm not exactly sure which ingredient she opposes, but my wife is a bit picky when it comes to vitamins and will only buy certain ones. And, because she is so selective, it is sometimes hard to find vitamins for the kids. However, she was able to find one for our daughter in no time at all; Disney My First Gummies Multi-vitamin.
When I saw these vitamins, I had some concerns myself. My youngest will eat fruit gummy snacks on occasion and does pretty well with them. But, I've had gummy vitamins before that were much harder to chew and, as a result of that, I was a bit worried this would be something she would have issues with.
However, that doesn't appear to be the case. The vitamins (which are in the shape of Winnie the Pooh characters) are as easy for her to chew as most gummy fruit snacks and she normally has her vitamin eaten in a matter of a couple of minutes.
Another thing that concerned me was the taste. Again, I've had something like this in the past (meant for adults) and hated the flavor to the point I had to force myself to take them. Since my daughter is starting to get a bit picky about the foods she likes, I didn't know if I would have that problem with her. But, again, that doesn't seem to be a problem. She absolutely loves these.
In fact, her loving the vitamins is actually the one concern I do still have. She likes them too much and, if we aren't careful about putting the vitamins someplace out of her reach, she will try to help herself to it. And, the so-called child-proof lid on it doesn't keep her out of them. Needless to say, we have to be extra careful about that.
Overall though, I do think this was a good purchase. I feel a bit more comfortable about her getting everything she needs nutrient wise and we found a vitamin that my daughter loves and my wife approves of.
