Review of Disney's Tangled

J.A.M
DIsney's latest computer animated film Tangled retells the fairytale story of Rapunzel, lost princess, who is locked in a tower by a witch. Mandy Moore provides the voice for the delightful character of Rapunzel and shares her vocal talents several times in the movies musical numbers. She meets the dashing character Flynn Ryder, voiced by Zachary Levi (NBC's Chuck) who overcomes his roguish, thieving ways, to help Rapunzel with her dream, to go to the floating lights that decorate the sky every year on her birthday.

The movies funnest characters are the sidekicks. Maximus, a tenacious palace guard horse with the personality of a trusty bloodhound and Rapunzel's pet chameleon Pascal have some of the most amusing and delightful scenes in the movie. The film is reminiscent of other tales of plucky princesses, The Little Mermaid, Jasmine from Aladdin, or Pocahontas. It provides young girls with a decent role model teaching intrepidness, resourcefulness, and the desire to follow ones dreams. Anyone can enjoy such a delightful film, full of great jokes, adventure, and a brilliantly drawn world. Disney's Tangled is a wonderful movie for the family to enjoy.
