Review of Eat Pray Love, the Expendables, Animal Kingdom, Scott Pilgrim

Theresa L.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Scott is your typical 23-year-old. He is lazy, and he is in a band, but his life is about to change when he meets Romana Flowers. Pilgrims is very interested in Flowers, but the only way he can be with her is to battle her seven ex-boyfriends.

The movie is based off from the Scott Pilgrim comic book series. Overall, this is a good movie to go see. It stars Michael Cera, who many may remember from Juno and Super Bad. However, this movie is not meant for younger audience due to sexual content.

Eat Pray Love
Julia Roberts hit's the big screen again with Eat Pray Love. Roberts plays Liz Gilbert, a newly divorce woman, who is set on finding a new life for herself. She travels to Italy, India and Bali finding pleasure, prayer, peace, and love.

However, you may want to see this movie, save your money and rent it on DVD. This movie is boring, lacking, an a huge disappointment for Julia Roberts fans.

The Expendables
Old timers reunite as Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, Steve Austin, Jet Li, Randy Couture and many more team up for this action packed movie. The Expendables is about a team of mercenaries sent to South America. Unfortunately for them, they find themselves in a web of lies and deceit that could destroy them all.

The oldies sure know how to pull it off, because the Expendables is definitely a movie worth seeing. However, if you are thinking of taking your lady with you, you best hope she is a die hard action fan because the Expendables is not a date movie.

Animal Kingdom
If you are expecting a movie about animals, then you will be seriously disappointed. Guy Pearce stars in this movie, about a cat and mouse chase between the police and the Cody gang. J is in the process of being recruited into the Cody gang, and finds the only way he can survive is to determine how the game is played.

Guy Pearce films are usually pretty good, and Animal Kingdom will not disappoint you.

I liked to see that one as well. The first one was great, hopefully the second will compare.

I'm looking forward to your review of Nanny McPhee Returns! I saw her interviewed this morning (Emma Thompson). What a brilliant woman! She wrote the movie, too, you know.

I was disappointed to see Eat, Pray, Love getting such mediocre reviews. I guess the previews showed all the best scenes - we'll rent the DVD and save the money :) cheers!
