Gameplay
The objective of this game is to clear each stage of platforms and stars by bouncing on platforms and touching stars using a little smiley ball. When you begin, you have the option of selecting to either use your mouse or your keyboard to control the ball, with the keyboard being the recommended mode of play. Start each level by pressing spacebar. The platforms will all have numbers on them. The numbers correspond to how many times they must be bounced on until they are cleared from the stage. The stars can be collected simply by touching them. There are three horizontal lines on the screen that are colored, from top to bottom, black, green, and purple. These colors correspond to the color of platforms. A black platform will bounce the little smiley ball up to the black line. The green platform will bounce the little smiley ball up to the green line. Finally, the purple platforms will bounce the little smiley ball up to the purple line. Once you have cleared all platforms and collected all the stars in a stage, end the stage by landing on the green base at the bottom of the screen. Also at the bottom of the screen are a few game statistics. On the left, you can see how many stars and platforms you need to clear for that stage. To the right of that you have the current level you are on out of 25. Below that, you have the time you have spent (presumably in seconds) in total playing the game. There is no time limit for playing the game, but this timer can give the more competitive players a little more excitement as they try to beat the game as quickly as possible. On the bottom-right of the screen, you can toggle the music and sound effects as well as access the game's menu.
Controls
Use either mouse or keyboard arrow keys to move the little smiley ball.
Game Review
EenieBounce is a fun little puzzle game that will keep players entertained for a good break or two, making it a perfect game for coffee-breakers. The game concept isn't too complicated, making this a sweet and simple game. Also, the game's author made a good choice for the game's main theme. Although the song loops on and on, it is catchy enough to not be overly annoying. In fact, it's actually rather relaxing, with a moderately quick tempo, and a great addition to the game.
EenieBounce scores an 8/10 for being a sweet and simple puzzle game with just enough challenges to keep players busy. It can, however, be very repetitive, so a little more diversity between levels or a more interesting gameplay would make this game perfect.
