Review of a Discount E-cigarette

Bel Marshall
Recently, I decided to try an electronic cigarette. Of course, not knowing if I would stick with it, I bought one of the discount e-cigarettes and quickly replaced my regular stick of tobacco for a vapor stick.

The e-cigarette that I purchased was the e-health cigarette. It was a good way to find out if I wanted to invest in a better quality e-cigarette but not one I would recommend if you are serious about switching from smoking to vaping for the long term.

Smoke Production

I discovered in about the first ten minutes that my smoking habit was as much about the satisfaction of the experience as it was about the addiction. My first couple of draws on the e-health cigarette were OK with a minimal amount of smoke and then I had to start playing with the e-cigarette to actually produce smoke. I finally discovered if I covered the air holes on the atomizer that I could produce smoke with each draw. Not exactly the most convenient but it worked.

Taste

This is the one very big plus for e-health cigarettes. The full flavor tobacco cartridge and e-juice have a really good taste. It has some strong notes of cherry in with the tobacco. Not over powering but just enough to create a nice, smooth flavor.

Ease Of Use

As stated above there were some issues with smoke production. Adding to that, even though the cartridges had a wonderful flavor there were some issues. E-health cigarettes do not have a wick in their cartridges like many other e-cigarettes and even though they sell e-juice to "refill", it is a pain to refill these without a mess because of the cartridge design. I found that I ended up with more e-juice on my hands than in the cartridge itself.

Battery Life

This is where the e-health cigarette really fails. After eleven days of use, I plugged in the battery and found that it wasn't charging but the entire battery was hot and began to smell badly. Assuming I had one bad battery, I put my other battery on the charger and ended up with the same results. I am going to assume there was an issue with the charger that came with my kit as I had two batteries go back in twenty minutes but this was a reminder that one gets what they pay for in today's market. I had this item for eleven days had gone ten of those days without a single regular cigarette and now, I was without an option for a electronic cigarette.

Luckily, I have a few places locally that sell e-cigarette starter kits and cartridges. The one I found at my local gas station is a much higher quality and so far has proven to be overall much more satisfying to me.

My suggestion for anyone considering making the switch but unsure if you want to make a large investment until you are sure. Many stores such as 7 Eleven carry disposable e-cigarettes and also very inexpensive starter kits. If you are going to go cheap, go for something that can easily be replaced if something goes wrong. Try one of these out for a week or so and then invest in a better quality product once you have made the decision to stick with the e-cigarette.

The e-health cigarette did help me make that decision but I would have preferred to have done more than barely save the cost in regular cigarettes before I experienced an entire "system fail" result.

I am happy to report that even when the e-health cigarette broke, that I never even considered having a regular cigarette. Without a doubt, I was craving the nicotine and the satisfaction of a cigarette, I did not want a tobacco stick in anyway.

Is the nicotine in a vapor stick addictive? Yes, it is as any form of nicotine will be but this form keeps me away from a six-dollar pack of tobacco with all the additives that are included.

*I am not a doctor or any kind of medical professional nor am I an expert on the health risks of an e-cigarette. The FDA has opinions on the e-cigarette and there are claims that there are health risks of a vapor stick (electronic cigarette). Giving up smoking is always the best choice for your health. The above article is my experience and should not be taken as a suggestion that one habit is any better than the other for your health. Do your own research and draw your own conclusions.
