Review: Estee Lauder Automatic Brow Pencil Duo

TommiH
Hey everyone! Today we are going to talk about another Estee Lauder product. The product we will talk about today is Estee Lauder's Automatic Brow Pencil Duo. During this time we will talk about the texture, color, and application life.

Let's get started.

Color:

Color is very big when it comes to a brow pencil. If you get a color that is too light, you are going to look washed out and fake. And if you get a color that is too dark you are going to look like you have huge eyebrows and fake. So you really have to choose carefully when it comes to a brow color.

I like Estee Lauder's Brow Duo because the coloring is very soft and natural. Not only is the color natural looking when applied to your brow area, there are also a wide variety of colors available ranging from blonde to black. There are a total of five colors available: soft blonde, soft auburn, soft brown, dark brown and soft black.

My advice to you when picking a color for your brows is to go a shade lighter than your actual brow color. So if you have black hair, I would go with a darker brown. If you have dark brown hair, go with a soft brown. Now Estee Lauder does not offer light blonde, dark blonde, light auburn, dark auburn, so you would have to stick with the soft colors they provide for those two shades of hair and go light on the coloring.

Texture:

I was impressed with the texture. A lot of brow pencils are way too hard to apply because the product is extremely tough and dry feeling. This brow coloring is offered in pencil form and it is a solid product but it has a semi-creamy feel but it doesn't smear like other cream brow pencils.

Blending is made easy with the pencil because a brow brush is included with the product (hence the "duo" part of the name). No there are not two different brow colors, but, instead, there is a brow brush/blending brush on one end and the actual color on the other end.

I do like the brush that is provided with the product because it is not worthless like many other brushes. My only complaint would be that the brush is a little too sparse for brows; I wish it was just a tad thicker. Thicker brushes make easier to blend out the brow color and make it look more natural.

Application life:
When it comes to makeup, not only do you need a natural and healthy looking product, but you need one that is going to stay with you. I say this brow color lasted me a total of 7 full hours of coverage before I started having issues.

The issues I experienced after a while was mainly fading of color. I didn't have a problem with smearing everywhere. So you don't have to watch for that. This is an overall good brow color tool for those of you who are looking. It is a little pricey ($23.50 on Estee Lauder's website). I would recommend this brow color to you.
