Color:
One of the biggest things when it comes to a bronzer is, of course, the color. If you have a bronzer with horrible coloring, well, it just belongs in the trash. I am impressed with the coloring and will continue further use with this bronzer due to that one fact.
A lot of bronzers come out orange and it makes me look really fake. This Estee Lauder bronzer is perfect with my skin tone (medium) and doesn't make me look like an Oompa-Loompa. Now I have not tried this bronzer on a fair-light skinned individual yet and it may make you look very fake. I may try this on someone with fair skin soon and post a comment below letting you know how it went.
Texture:
There is not much to say here. As the name says, this is a lotion. But I would also call this a moisturizer because it does very well in that area. Sine this is a lotion you do not have to worry about creasing once it is dry, but you need to make sure that you do not apply a ton of lotion because you will get creases where there was too much product and it dried.
Coverage:
This has a very light coverage like a tinted moisturizer. If you have red spots or red cheeks, this will even out your skin tone for you. It helps lighten up freckles and bring down the intenseness of their coloring. If you have scaring, it will help even out the skin tone around that area and make the scar a little less noticeable. But there is not much in the coverage area.
Application life:
I have heard a lot of mixed reviews in this area so I am going to tell you about my personal experience. I have gone swimming with this bronzer on, and it lasted thru the pool. Now I did not go under the water a lot, but it lasted thru the splashing.
I also tried something else and slept thru the night with it on and it stayed. I do not recommend sleeping without washing your face before hand. But I do believe that this bronzer absorbs into the skin to a certain point and stays for a couple days.
All-in-all, this is a good bronzer and I recommend it. It is very expensive, so make sure you don't use it all over your body - it is meant for the face and face only (1.7 oz $22.50).
