Coverage:
Like the description states - this is a full coverage foundation. I have covered freckles and red spots with this foundation easily. Coverage does last quite sometime but it's not the longest wearing foundation out there. I got approx. nine hours of full wear out of this foundation.
If you would like a longer wearing life, add a primer under this foundation. But I do advise that you use a very thin primer because this foundation is not thin. If you apply a clear, liquid primer you should be fine.
Texture:
Now let's move onto texture. I will start by saying the texture is very smooth and silky to the touch. A lot of full-coverage foundations tend to have a dry texture to them because they are so thick, but it is not the case with Maximum Coverage.
Maximum coverage is very thick. I would not go as far as saying it is as thick as paste, but it is pretty close. You would think this foundation would have a heavy feeling once applied to the skin because it is so thick, but it does not have a heavy feeling. It actually feels rather natural.
Be careful when you apply this foundation, though. I would say apply it in small amounts and build off that. If you apply a large amount to your skin and try to blend it throughout your face (or other body areas that you may cover). If you apply a lot of product and try to blend it out, you will get a build of product in some areas and cause it to crease. Apply small dots of product all over the area of skin you would like to cover and blend that out and repeat until the area is covered to your satisfaction.
Color:
I am impressed with the coloring but not the color selection. The colors are very natural and easy on the eyes, but there are only four colors available! Okay, so let's go over the colors really quick. We have Creamy Ivory, Creamy Tan, Creamy Vanilla, and Medium Deep.
If you have very fair skin, you would go with Creamy Ivory. If you have Hispanic skin tone, you would go with Medium Deep. This will give you a range of what the colors are meant for. The other two colors in between would be for a little darker than light and a little lighter than dark. So you may have trouble finding a color right for you.
This is a good foundation and it will cover well as long as you can find a color for you. I would recommend this foundation for you if you have scars you would like to cover or if you have a photo shoot coming up. The pricing is a little high at $29.50 on Estee Lauder's site, but you get quite a bit of product and it goes a long way.
