The unfortunate thing about this horrid lip color is not only the color, but it's price. All of Estee Lauder's Pure Color lipstick's are overpriced, some are so beautiful they may be worth considering, and others fail so miserably it makes you wonder how they even made it to the market. That is pretty much where Bois De Rose sits. Horrid, ugly, and unflattering.
This color goes on in almost a semi clear glossy manner, with a hint of brown that is just disgusting looking. On my medium tan skin it looked like I wiped greasy butter with chocolate on my lips, and it was pretty gross looking.
The texture, like all Pure Color Lipsticks is really nice though, a nice hint of moisture is added to the lips, and it glides on like silk. However the color is so poorly done, that buying this lipstick at the price it is offered, is not worth it for the moisture alone.
Last:
I have never been too happy with the last when it comes to Estee Lauder Lipstick. The last on Boise De Rose is also weak and not long lasting at all. Now some colors in the collection last long, and others are lucky enough to stick around for 10 minutes.
When it comes to Estee Lauder - Pure Color Lipstick- Bois De Rose, you get around 10 minutes before the already faded color begins to fade.
Overall:
I am glad this color was gifted to me for free, because had I spent money on this one, I would have returned it immediately. This one came packaged as a gift for spending over a certain amount of money at Macy's. I definitely would not buy this one though, and I will be passing the one I have on to someone else who may like it.
All in all, I would rate this one 1 out of 5 stars. The added moisture grants this one 1 star from me, but poor last, expensive price and horrid coloring degrade the rating to anything higher than 1 star from me.
