This candle is called Caramel Popcorn, and when I spotted it, I noted it was made by For Every Body which is one of my top favorite candle companies, due to their low prices, and superb quality. I was going to pass this scent up because I never liked the smell of popcorn before, but the moment I popped the lid, the scent enveloped me like a bucket of warm Christmas popcorn tin memories.
Caramel Popcorn smells just like freshly popped popcorn, with a gorgeous warm and gooey coating of caramel in the mix. Both scents swirl around you, and even if you are not huge on the scent of popcorn, this one surely will impress you with its buttery sweet goodness.
Burning:
Now many candles smell fantastic when you do an in store sniff test, and many candles burn well, while others do not smell anything like what the candle smelled like in the store, and the scent is either not present, or so weak it is pointless in even burning.
For Every Body has never been a disappointment for me, so when I lit Caramel Popcorn, I was confident in thinking that the candle would smell just as good burning, as it did unlit.
It took around 10 minutes for the scent to begin burning, but once burning it did let off a nice strong aroma. However the scent was different, and what I was mostly detecting was a warm vanilla cookie type fragrance, which don't get me wrong, it is nice...but it lacked that authentic original popcorn fragrance that I got from it when I first inhaled the scent in the store.
Overall:
For me this candle is OK. I was just hoping the scent would stay true to its name, and scent it smelled like when unlit. Granted the fragrance is good, and potent and long lasting, I wanted that neat caramel popcorn scent that it just lacked once lit/
This one gets 3 stars out of 5 from me. It still smells wonderful, and those who are fans of sugary vanilla fragrances will find love in this one. For those who were looking for that popcorn scent to be delivered though, I think you may be a bit disappointed.
