Review of Fabuloso Citrus and Fruits Multi-Purpose Cleaner

As I wanted a change from the cleaning product I had been using for the last few months, I bought a bottle of Fabuloso Citrus and Fruits Multi-Purpose Cleaner.

Two things disappointed me before I even used Fabuloso Citrus and Fruits Multi-Purpose Cleaner. The first is that it wasn't a disinfectant. I should have noticed that at the store but didn't. Since my household is childless and has virtually nonexistent traffic, the absence of a disinfectant cleaner should not be a deal breaker although it could be for others. The second was that the instructions were to use the product undiluted except on floors. I prefer a product that I can dilute to whatever strength I wish.

The bright red color was definitely an eye catcher, and might even have been the sole reason I bought this product. When I went to use it as instructed I was concerned the color might stain the very things that I wanted to clean. This is why I chose to wash the textured floor of my white shower stall with undiluted Fabuloso Multi Purpose Cleaner and a scrub brush. It did not stain. I found a dried spot of cleaner on my white tile floor, and although it looked like it was a stain it washed off very easily.

The cleaning power of Fabuloso was not as good as I had hoped. While it is great for washing surfaces that are slightly dirty, it is not powerful enough to cut through the worst dirt and grime. It does not do well against soap scum either. I found that as a diluted solution the Fabuloso worked well to wash floors, walls, kitchen counters and other surfaces that might need a freshening wash down.

The smell of Fabuloso Citrus and Fruits Multi-Purpose Cleaner was slightly strong in the bottle. The scent during cleaning made the house have a desirably clean, sweet smell. However, the smell did not seem very strong once the surfaces had dried.

I would recommend Fabuloso Citrus and Fruits Multi-Purpose Cleaner to individuals that only needs a basic cleaner and doesn't care whether it is a disinfectant or not. I would not recommend this product to families that need a disinfectant or a powerful cleaner.

Fabuloso can be purchased at Family Dollar and other national chains. I think that the cost was about two dollars a bottle at the local Family Dollar Store.
