Review of the Falcon Northwest FragBox 2 PC

The Falcon Northwest FragBox 2 is the latest in high end gaming technology. We all know computers are outdated the moment they're purchased, but this one is an exception. This baby features such high end power that outdated hardware won't really make much of a difference to this machine. Featuring the fastest processor at around 4 GHZ, a 600 GB hard drive, and a top three contender video card at 256 MB of video ram, makes this system worth the money. This computer retails at $4,200.00, which is a lot of money, but when you sum up all of the parts, and the overall ability to do just about anything, than it all works out.

We move over to hardware power as this machine packs a lot of it. Intel included there top chip, the P4 570 at 3.8 GHZ. This is the fastest chip currently, while 4.0 GHZ is making a run, it has not been officially released to the public yet. The FragBox 2 also features a 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM slot base, which runs at about 533 MHZ, which is said to be a "State-of-the-Art combination according to sources. The hard drive is set at 600 GB, but runs on two 300 GB drives, at 7,200 RPM each, which is extremely fast when it combines with the processor and ram power. One thing we were surprised is the hard drive only did run at 7,200 RPM, while of course that is very fast, we though a 10,000 RPM drive would be installed. This is no downside, but could of possibly been even better than it already is. DVD lovers will enjoy nice crisp DVD picture on a 1,600 x 1,200 display as they sit back and eat there goodies. This computer comes with PowerDVD, which is one of the best in DVD software. Gaming lovers will love this PC, as Alienware, who is a rival to to this company really doesn't make a machine as powerful as this one. The graphics card is developed by NVidia, which is one of the top developers in the world at making video cards, runs at 256 MB of video ram. Resolution can go up to 1,600 x 1,200, which is truly outstanding, and beautiful to look at. Overall the hardware was no disappointment, and the overall feel and look was almost perfect.

Another thing we liked about the FragBox 2 is it's nice look. It is small, but bigger than it's previous system, yet it has the look of a device used 100 years later. It comes with a handle at the top, where you can pick it up and bring it to another room, etc, but beware it is a little heavy. Weight shouldn't be a problem for a PC, but still it is a little heavy. What impressed me the most is the way the system lit up so brightly. One moment you are starting at a computer that is dark and black, and the next, it is bright blue all over the place. I was highly impressed with the way it looked, and would probably buy it for it's look, that's how good it is.

I tried out the Falcon's customer service, just to be a pain in the behind. Out of most of the customer service departments, this one had to be close to the best. I spoke to a bunch of people and they all were very friendly and nice, and they gave me what I was looking for. Normally in a customer service conversation, you would have an argument with the representative, just because you think you know more than he or she does. This is not the case here, as all customer service representatives love to hear what you know, and it doesn't bother them to hear your side of the story. I give the service a 4 out of 5.

Overall the FragBox 2 packs a hell of a punch, and the features are enough to drive you insane. At a price of $4,200.00, you can't go wrong with this PC. I usually don't say this, because most power end computers are off the charts, but $4,000.00 is not a bad price at all for this machine, as most reviewers think it is pricey, it really isn't, for what you get in quality. Sure there are cheaper computers that are used for gaming, but this machines overall look and feel, with power combined just makes you want to go out and spend the money right away on it. How about I make it easier for all of you... If you are a serious gamer of course... Go out and buy this computer. 7.5 out of 10.
