Review of Favorite Movie- "The Godfather"

K. Jackson,
One of the biggest films I believe in history still today that is loved by many is the 1972 Academy Award film "The Godfather". I have a list of good films that I have enjoyed and a list of favorites but one of the movies that stand out for me as one of the best classic movies of all time is "The Godfather". "The Godfather" was directed by director Francis Ford Coppola and had quite a number of what I would consider legendary performers from Al Pacino, Robert DuVall, and James Caan and of course you can not leave out Don Vito Corleone which was played by the late Marlon Brando. The movie showed the life of the Corleone family and their struggle with gangs, drugs and the law in the attempt of being the top family in organized crime in New York. I believe that "The Godfather" really helped in the careers of many of the leading actors in the film, Francis Ford Coppola truly made what can be considered not only a masterpiece on film but also a clear view of what organized crime is really all about. I was amazed at the details put into the film to make the characters age through time. I believe that "The Godfather" truly showed just how talented and great Al Pacino is as an actor; Al Pacino played Michael Corleone the son of the Don Vito Corleone and the transition in the movie is amazing. Al Pacino's character went from being one that did not want any part of the family business of organized crime into being the next Don in the Corleone family. "The Godfather" for me personally is one of those movies that I could enjoy watching over and over again. "The Godfather" is available on DVD not only too rent but to buy at such sites like CINEMANOW, http://www.cinemanow.com for $14.95 or at Blockbuster, http://www.blockbuster.com for $14.99 and at Amazon.com.
