Review of Febreze Air Effects New Zealand Springs

Melanie Dee
Another newbie addition has been added to the Febreze Air Effects collection, this one, like the most recent foreign wonders of fragrances is named after New Zealand, inspired by New Zealands south where springs feed glacier carved streams!

It is called Febreze Air Effects, New Zealand Springs and comes packed in a green can, making it easy to distinguish it from other Febreze Air Effects cans. The can of course is still shaped as Air Effects cans always have come. It features a basic stand up aluminum can with a spray nozzle, that, unlike the competition, releases its fragrance in a more light mist, allowing the scent more time to gently float around the air and room. Basically it lingers longer, instead of just falling quickly to the ground like other home air fresheners do.

The Scent:

It is very rare that I come across a new, or limited edition Air Effects fragrance that I dislike, and New Zealand Springs is no exception. This one has a gorgeous refreshing misty fragrance, that resembles a scent you would smell if you were standing beside a raging stream, with the mossy rocks nearby, and the light misting of refreshing fresh water hitting your skin.

New Zealand Springs is definitely woodsy and rugged, but with all Febreze fragrances, that official clean, fresh fragrance still lingers closely behind the woodsy riverbed scent.

Linger:

This is where we encounter our first flaw when it comes to New Zealand Springs- Air Effects. The linger is not that long lived. In a small room, such as our bathroom, the scent stuck around for about 20 minutes, which is not too bad, however in larger rooms the scent barely was able to stick around past the 5 minute mark, which was slightly disappointing.

Overall:

The scent is truly beautiful, and unique, the last however in larger rooms delivers Febreze Air Effects, New Zealand Springs, into the mediocre category of air fresheners. I would still recommend it to be kept in small bathrooms though, or to be used in smaller rooms.
