Review: Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo by Fisher Price

Will Entertain Your Children and Teach Them About Animal Sounds

Arthur Kirk
If you are looking for a toy that will teach your child about animals before you take them on their first zoo trip, the Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo by Fisher Price is a good toy to consider purchasing. The animals designed for the toy are relatively realistic appearing when compared with other children's toys and the sounds that this toy makes are realistic as well. Each of the cars on the train have an activity that can entertain your child. The Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo by Fisher Price is expandable too, as there are additional sets you can purchase to add onto the train for your child. This makes the initial cost of over $30 at most retailers a little easier to accept.

The Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo by Fisher Price has three animals that come with the set. These animals are the giraffe, elephant and monkey. All of these characters are larger than you find with other competing sets. The legs will move so your child can pose the animals and place them where they wish. For the younger kids in the recommended one to four year old age group, the ears on the animals are bitable, serving as teething toys. When you place these animals in their appropriate place on the train you will actually hear a song specifically about each of the animals. This is nice as it helps with recognition of the animals by your child.

As mentioned above each of the three cars do something different. The engine car has a smoke stack that your child can push. If your child pushes the smoke stack on the Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo by Fisher Price, the train will start to move and the lights on the train will illuminate. Another car has beads that your child can slide back and forth. The final car in the Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo by Fisher Price is for the monkey and includes a trapeeze for the monkey to swing from. If you don't want the train moving throughout the house there is a switch you can click which will have the train remain stationary for your child. This was best for my son when he was about one year old as he tended to get scared of toys that moved and make noise. One or the other was fine, but this one doing both and lighting up seemed to scare him. The Fisher Price Amazing Animals Sing & Go Choo-Choo by Fisher Price is expandable with expansion sets sold at stores, but we have found that the expansion sets do not attach securely to the original set. This results in the train either coming apart or toppling over while it is moving.

  • A giraffe, elephant, and monkey come with the train.
  • Pushing the smoke stack will make the train move.
  • Unfortunately the expansions for this toy do not attach securely to the train.
Keep in mind that the toy is sold in "demo mode", to allow movement you must remove the plastic strip.
