Ordering the coffee was simple I filled out my personal information and my preferences of coffee. The survey asked 4 simple questions about my coffee preferences and how much coffee I drink in a week. They gave me the option of receiving special offers or samples in the mail and a monthly email publication for P&G Everyday Solutions. I declined the monthly newsletter and accepted the offer of free samples and special offers. After all don't everyone love special offers and free samples? I then clicked submit and waited for my coffee to arrive.
My coffee sample arrived in 2 weeks from the time I ordered it. In the box was the sample of vanilla biscotti and a coupon for 75 cents off one 'Folgers Gourmet Selections' coffee. The sample of the 'Vanilla Biscotti' came in a foil wrapper packet weighting 1.1 ounces.
Before preparing my cup of 'Vanilla Biscotti' I cut the package along the top and smelled the coffee. I was really impressed with the aroma of the coffee before and after the coffee was brewed. The directions on the coffee stated 5-6 cups to 1 packet of coffee. I made the coffee with 6 cups water as the directions stated. I chose 2 different samplers to try the coffee.
Sampler #1 is a student who is a frequent coffee drinker. She prefers Folgers regular economy version 34.5 ounces.
Sampler # 1 questioner:
How do you prefer your coffee?
I prefer 2 teaspoons of creamer and 2 splenda envelopes.
What do you think of the smell of the coffee?
I think the coffee smells like a strong vanilla.
What did you think of the taste of the coffee?
I think the coffee is a little strong and would need extra creamer to drink it on a regular basis. It tasted more like Cappuccino then coffee.
Would you purchase this coffee if the coffee cost under $6.00 with a coupon for 75 cents off?
No, I would not't purchase the coffee because of the cost of the coffee and the amount you receive is very little amount for the price.
Coffee Sampler #2 is a writer and has a teenage daughter. Sampler number 2 prefers tea over coffee and is an occasional coffee drinker.
How do you prefer your coffee?
I prefer my coffee with 2 teaspoons of sugar and 1 and a half tablespoons of creamer.
What do you think of the smell of the coffee?
I like the smell of the coffee it smells 'O so good'.
What did you think of the taste of the coffee?
I think the coffee tasted very strong and needed extra sugar and creamer. I think the coffee tasted bitter as well.
Would you purchase this coffee if the coffee cost under $6.00 with a coupon for 75 cents off? I would not purchase the coffee mostly because of the price and I am more of a tea drinker then coffee drinker.
I was impressed with Folgers offering a free sample to the consumer. I was satisfied with the length of time it took to receive the 'Vanila Biscotti' coffee sample. Receiving a coupon for purchasing the coffee was a pleasant surprise. If I was impressed with the coffee flavor and amount of coffee received for the price, I would have taken them up on the offer.
