Because a strawberry is one of my favorite things to eat, it was a pleasure trying these out. There's nothing like eating fresh strawberries, one of the great pleasures in life, but since I don't live in any strawberry growing areas that I know of such as Oxnard, California, I choose to get them from the store when they are on sale. According to the nutrition labelling on the packaging, one package contains the Percent Daily Values (based on a 2000 calorie diet) of 110 per cent of Vitamin C, 4 per cent each of of Dietary Fiber, Calcium, and Iron. The description of these freeze dried strawberries at Crispy Green's website says that these fruit snacks contain none of the following: fat, cholesterol, preservatives, but contain just 100 calories per bag. The packaging goes on to say that these FruitziO Strawberries freeze dried fruit snacks are "Certified Kosher" and free of gluten, dairy, peanut, and tree nuts. The only other ingredient present besides strawberries is Cane Sugar.

Upon opening the re-sealable packaging, I found a lightly pleasant strawberry scent, and then tried them out. I must say that these freeze dried fruit snacks are quite addictive indeed! The texture is crunchy, but they are still easy to chew. The tangy taste I notice in store-bought strawberries is retained in these FruitziO Strawberries as well as the sweetness. It's also a pleasant feeling just letting them slowly melt in my mouth!

When fruit snacks like freeze dried strawberries are made, the water content is taken out, so one 0.88 ounce bag contained several handfuls, making for a filling snack. I filled an 8 oz. measuring cup with these treats.
