Review of the Genie 9575L-BP Laser Parking System

John Ehle
As the years and seasons go by, the garage of the average American home seems to turn into a catch all storage area rather than a means to park your car. Accidently running into items stored in your garage with your car due to blind spots can be a good way to cause damage to either your vehicle or stored possessions.

Parking a vehicle in a one car garage can be especially difficult. This is why I decided to find a better solution this winter. Opening and closing the overhead door on an attached garage can cause a major heat or cooling loss the longer the door is open and your garage is opened to the elements. Being able to park your car properly with the help of the Genie 9575L-BP Laser Parking System can help this problem greatly from my experience.

The system relies upon accurate laser technology to alert you whenever your car is pulled up as far as it needs to go; enabling you to keep from damage caused by hitting other objects stored in the garage. What makes the system great has to be the included dual sensors, enough to handle two vehicles in a separate fashion if needed.

The installation and operation is very easy to do thanks to the detailed instructions provided in the box. The sensors mount on the ceiling so you don't have to clutter up your valuable garage space on the floor as you would with other parking aids.

Some people on the Internet have complained about the range of the laser not being long enough from high ceilings however if your garage ceiling height is average like mine, you should not have any trouble. Having an old Genie garage door opener, I can attest to the reliability and quality of the manufacturer. In my particular case the garage door opener has outlasted the original door itself! I have no doubts that the Genie 9575L-BP Laser Parking System will live up to its reputation as a top notch product.

Since installing this product, I have not had any issue with the parking system failing or malfunctioning. I am able to park my car more precisely while cutting down the time my overhead door is open during the extreme temperatures.

My only complaint with the Genie 9575L-BP Laser Parking System is that it is not a completely wireless solution. There is some wiring that is involved that may shy a prospective buyer away from the system. Employing a totally wireless system would increase the appeal of the Genie 9575L-BP Laser Parking System in my opinion.
