Review of the New Gillette Venus Embrace

Angel
I received the new Gillette Venus Embrace free in the mail. I don't ever hold out much hope for these types of razors, because for some reason Gillette can't understand that the best razor I have ever used on my legs was my husbands Gillette Mach 3. I had never expected a man's razor to be so perfect for a woman.

Well the New Gillette Venus Embrace is so proud of their product they offer a "Love it or your money back." http://www.gillettevenus.com/loveitoryourmoneyback/ Up to $11.99. This meant I really had to give the razor my full attention to review it properly.

The Gillette Venus Embrace is created with five blades and a ribbon of moisture, to help it glide smoothly. The Gillette Venus Embrace has a larger head on it making it slightly difficult to shave those private areas. The Gillette Venus Embrace is mainly made for the legs. If I'm about to spend a lot of money on a razor, it has to be a do it all. I don't have room in my shower for several different razors to shave several different locations. And I find it fascinating that Gillette didn't come across this issue during the testing of the product.

I am not impressed with this razor. It works well dry, and leaves your legs smooth when shaving wet, but it's no more better, or different then any other Venus razor Gillette has created. Perhaps they are creating the razors for a different style woman, but when I use a razor in the bath or in the shower, I use soap. It's how I was taught to shave my legs, and how I taught my daughter. I don't see the big deal if the razor has a pad of moisture on it that ends up turning to goo, and then drying and flaking off is any better then soap, and the Mach 3.

No price is worth this new razor, even with the money back. Gillette needs to focus more on the woman's body, and ignore the moisture issue. I could careless how soft my legs are if my hair on my legs and private parts isn't removed. People are cutting back now more then ever, yes these would make nice stocking stuffers for Christmas, but the price is simply not worth the product. Thank God it was free, at least now I know once again, to not waste my money on a Venus Razor by Gillette.

I rate this razor a 3 out of 5 stars.
