I chose to try the Cucumber Melon Mango flavor, which smells as promised. The directions to use this product are to first clean your skin. Make sure you pat your skin dry first, as the mask will turn gooey if mixed with water. Apply the mask evenly, and be sure not to put a thick layer on. If the layer is too thick, it will take additional time to solidify. The area around the eyes and mouth should be avoided completely. After the mask has dried, you can peel it off.
When you squeeze the product out of the tube, you might feel inclined to use a large amount of the product, as it seems too thin. However, a thin layer is all that's needed to cover one's face. The product feels extremely sticky, so be careful not to get it on clothing or hair. The directions don't specific an amount of time to leave the product on, but I like to keep it on for five to ten minutes to ensure that it has dried evenly.
One of the difficulties of this product is the removal process. Although some sections come off easily, others seem not to dry completely. The product seems like it should come off in sections, but it takes a while to remove it completely. Even so, I have found bits of the mask still caked to my skin, even when I felt like I have removed it all. I would recommend rinsing again to get rid of any missed spots.
On the plus side, the In Your Face Peel Mask promises to cleanse, tone, and tighten skin after use. My skin always feels much tighter after use, though not necessarily cleaner. I've also noticed that my skin glows after using this product, perhaps as a result of the tightening sensation. I would stick to your regular cleanser for daily cleaning and use the mask once a week for additional benefits.
Although the removal process is a bit messy and grueling, the overall success of Got 2b's In Your Face Groovy Peelin Peel Masque is apparent. Another highlight is the reasonable price; I bought this product for $3 on a whim, figuring that if I didn't like it, I could throw it out. Instead, I've kept it as an additional cleaning tool that I use frequently. The mask does tend to get watery over time, but with the price, picking up a replacement isn't a problem. For a fun spa alternative, I would recommend this mask if you have some extra time at home and feel like being pampered.
