Goya Chicken Croquettes come in packs of 8 and are sold in 9.6-ounce cartons.
Preparing Goya Chicken Croquettes
While most frozen items are easily thrown into a microwave or oven, Goya Chicken Croquettes are best made on the stove top or in a broiler. These chicken croquettes take less than 5 minutes to make either way, but be prepared to have some cooking oil on hand!
No matter which method you choose, it's best to drain the chicken croquettes after you have finished cooking them to remove some of the oil. You could also place the chicken croquettes on a thin matting of plain (no ink) paper towels.
Stove Top Preparation
Pour oil into a deep frying pan or a skillet. Be sure you have enough oil to actually cover the Goya Chicken Croquettes.
Heat the oil up to 350 degrees and begin frying the chicken croquettes for about 2 to 3 minutes. Be sure you turn the chicken croquettes during the cooking time, carefully removing them after the breading on the chicken croquettes has turned gold to light brown.
Broiler Preparation
Lightly brush each chicken croquette while preheating your broiler. Grease a pan and then place the oil-brushed chicken croquettes onto the pan. Place the pan about 3 inches from the heat source and let the chicken croquettes cook for about 4 to 5 minutes or until they turn gold to light brown. Make sure you turn the chicken croquettes often throughout the cooking process.
Flavor
Goya Chicken Croquettes are a tasty dish to have along with some rice, plantains, stuffed potatoes, or other popular Latin food. In fact, along with some dipping sauce (like ranch dressing or Tabasco sauce), these chicken croquettes are ideal for a party food.
The breading is good, the chicken filling is soft and delicious, and the overall product is a high quality offering that clearly shows why Goya has reigned as one of the most popular Latin food brands in America.
Nutrition
Goya Chicken Croquettes are a breaded, tasty snack. Fat and sodium are the main areas to look at carefully when buying this product. If you eat them in moderation, there is no reason why you shouldn't give Goya Chicken Croquettes a try!
