Review of Green Giant's Immunity Blend Frozen Vegetable Pack

Alexandra Morgan
Last night I tried perhaps the best frozen veggie blend I have ever tasted - Green Giant's Immunity Blend frozen vegetable pack in the steam bag.

This particular frozen veggie blend already had a partial vote from me at the outset because it offered the convenient "steam in the bag" option. I love that option because when I get home from work on a weeknight, the last thing I want to do is cook; I save my cooking for the weekends when I have the time.

So, as I fixed my dinner last night, I popped my Green Giant Immunity Blend frozen vegetable pack into the microwave for six minutes, and when it finished nuking and I opened up the steam bag a wonderfully strong smell of butter and cranberry emanated the kitchen. And it proved even tastier than it smelled!

The Green Giant Immunity Blend frozen vegetable pack contains: cauliflower florets, sliced orange and yellow carrots, and dried cranberries tossed with a butter sauce. The cranberries are really what put this frozen veggie blend over the top; they sweeten the blend perfectly and the butter sauce compliments the cranberries, bringing out the subtler tones of the fruit. I had tried mixing dried cranberries with veggies before, but only in my cold carrot salad. I had never thought to try dried cranberries with warm veggies in a butter sauce; but now that I have, I think I'm going to experiment quite a bit with my new found flavor.

The Green Giant Immunity Blend frozen vegetable pack also supplies a good dose of your daily Vitamin A and C requirement, offering 20% Vitamin A and C in each serving, with a total of two servings per container. The entire packet will cover two meals or one serving for two people at 70 calories per serving. This is a pretty hefty dose of antioxidants, which all work to boost the immune system.

I can't find one thing I don't like about the Green Giant Immunity Blend frozen vegetable pack; it's loaded with vitamins, quick and convenient to make, available at any grocery store, and affordable. Though it's my estimation that these steamin bag frozen veggie packs could be cheaper, it is still a decent price at around $3.50 a pop, considering you're either getting two meals out of it or serving two people.

If you like all of the above mentioned vegetables featured in this frozen veggie pack, I would strongly recommend giving the Green Giant Immunity Blend frozen vegetable pack a try; it will certainly punch up any meal you pair it with.

I don't like cranberries much, bummer, sounds like it might be a good blend otherwise, thanks for providing a review of it.

How many servings do you get for that $3.50 price tag? Sounds like a delightful blend that my girlfriend and I will have to try. I like convenience when cooking.
