Review of GV Spaghetti Sauce, Shredded Cheese and Noodles

Chen Salis
I bought GV traditional spaghetti sauce from Wal-Mart because it was affordable, and an equal size jar when compared to Prego or Ragu. I am on a quest to save some money, as times are increasingly getting harder for everyone. Among the tactics I am trying, includes buying store and generic brands instead of the pricier national brands.

I bought GV enriched spaghetti, as well as the GV traditional Spaghetti sauce, and GV shredded mozzarella cheese. Why not go all Wal-Mart brand when you can?

I like baked spaghetti loaded with cheese. It is an affordable meal, considering sometimes I prepare it without meatballs. My recipe for baked spaghetti is really simple, and pretty delicious.

I prepare the spaghetti, by boiling it. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. When the spaghetti noodles are ready I drain all the water from the noodles, and I pat them dry with a paper towel. Next, spray a baking dish with non stick cooking spray.

I like to spice up my sauce with freshly ground pizza seasoning. It tastes great in combination with the pre added spices. I place the dry, cooked spaghetti noodles in the baking dish and begin adding spaghetti sauce, mixing well. From there add shredded mozzarella or pizza cheese to your liking, and bake for 20 minutes or until warm and melty.

I was pleased with the flavor, and quality for the low prices. I didn't expect the GV Spaghetti sauce to taste as good as Prego, but tasted very similar, equally as good. Spaghetti noodles are all about the same, so of course I thought these were A okay. As for the shredded mozzarella cheese. I could not tell a difference between GV brand and the more expensive Kraft cheese that I usually buy. All three GV products I purchased to prepare this simple yet delicious meal were equally as good as the more expensive national brands. I will continue to buy GV spaghetti sauce enriched noodles and shredded mozzarella cheese when I want to have spaghetti, baked or regular.

If you are looking to pair something else with your GV spaghetti meal I recommend the plain GV texas toast frozen garlic bread. You can save some cash and add your own shredded cheese to the garlic bread. I hope this review helps you to make an informed decision about GV brands.
