Review: Harborside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, Maryland

Great Option for Lunch on the Way to the Beach, or While Staying in Ocean City, Maryland

Are you looking to enjoy a nice lunch while on your way to Ocean City, Maryland or just want to get away from the crowd for lunch? Well Harborside Bar & Grille is a great option and it is just over the Route 50 bridge. Harborside Bar & Grille is located at 12841 Harbour Road in Ocean City, and is a quick drive over the bridge. The Harborside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, Maryland is a great option to stop at just before you go into Ocean City on the day you arrive. This way you can enjoy a reasonably priced lunch that isn't fast food.

For lunch the same appetizers that are offered at dinner time are on the menu. There are actually 20 of them, so there are plenty of appetizers to choose from at the Harborside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, Maryland. The appetizers range from $7 to $10 each. My favorites include the jerk chicken which is both sweet and spicy, as well as the bbq shrimp which has a great barbecue sauce. My wife is a big fan of the crab dip as an appetizer.

For lunch options there are many and they are all affordable in the $8-10 range. One of my favorites is a true original, consider I haven't seen it at any other restaurants. It is a buffalo shrimp pizza. This is a personal size pizza with onions, roasted red peppers, and shrimp tossed in a not overly spicy buffalo sauce and put on the pizza dough. The mixture is topped with mozzarella cheese and bleu cheese. If you ask, they can leave off the bleu cheese, which is how I like it. Harborside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, Maryland also has some very good wraps and hamburgers.

My favorite wrap at the Harborside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, Maryland is the Islander. This wrap includes the same jerk chicken from the appetizer list, lettuce, tomato, provolone cheese and has a nice honey mustard sauce. My favorite hamburger at Harborside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, Maryland is the Heart Stopper. This burger lives up to its name with ham, bacon, sauteed onions, mushrooms, and your choice of cheese topping the hamburger.

I would not recommend going over the Route 50 Bridge for dinner at Harborside Bar & Grille as you can find similarly priced restaurants in the main tourist areas of Ocean City which have better dinner options. If you are looking for a good happy hour though it is worth visiting Harborside Bar & Grille in Ocean City, Maryland. Weekdays from 4-7 pm they have a half pound of shrimp for $4.75 or a full pound of buffalo wings for $3.50. These are great happy hour specials, and worth driving over the bridge for. Don't forget about the happy hour specials at Harborside Bar and Grille either if you are arriving at your hotel on a weeknight, stop by and enjoy them before heading into town to your hotel.
