Review of Harrison's Harbour Watch Restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland
One of the Few Fine Dining Options Offered on the Boardwalk in the Inlet Area of Ocean City, Maryland
Harrison's Harbour Watch Restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland does provide one of the few romantic settings for a meal on the boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland. Most other restaurants offering romantic settings are a fair distance from the boardwalk. Service at Harrison's Harbour Watch Restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland tends to be a bit erratic. This can be frustrating when you are at the beach and expect to receive quality service in a timely fashion. I have been there before and had to wait 20 minutes for my order to be taken. On other visits I had my entree brought to my table by my waiter or waitress before those twenty minutes expired.
I would recommend the steamed shrimp highly at Harrison's Harbour Watch in Ocean City, Maryland. It is well spiced without having the seasoning seem overpowering. The fish entrees at Harrison's Habour Watch Restaurant are also very good. You have a great variety of fish to choose from including flounder, red snapper, rockfish, salmon, mahi mahi, swordfish and even shark. After choosing your fish, you have a variety of choices to decide from as far as cooking style and sauces go. Thee tropical fruit salsa is very good, as is the tomato basil. My wife enjoys the cream sauce, but did indicate it is a little overpowering sometimes. One of my other favorite ways to have my fish at Harrison's Harbour Watch Restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland is blackened. If you want a more expensive option you can also choose to have it topped with crab imperial.
If you are looking to add something to your meal they do have add-ons including crab cakes for $12 each. Honestly, I would avoid the add-ons as they are way overpriced. If you want to fill up, one of the nice features of Harrison's Harbour Watch Restaurant in Ocean City is that you can have all the sides you wish. These include french fries, cole slaw, red potatoes, wild rice, the vegetable of the day, and apple sauce. Sometimes the waitstaff will try to claim you can only have one of these sides, but that is incorrect. You can choose any you wish. Keep in mind though that the initial servings are rather small for the sides so if you have an inattentive waiter or waitress you might have issues getting your fill of the side dishes.
Harrison's Harbour Watch Restaurant in Ocean City, Maryland is a nice choice for a romantic meal if you don't want to leave the boardwalk and inlet area. If you have a car and are willing to drive though, I would not recommend it as one of the the top five or ten options in town.
