Review of Hasbro Toys Star Wars Vintage Saga Collection
Revisit the Star Wars Action Figure Toys of Your Past, Updated and Improved for 2006
Each figure, based on a character in the movie, was fully pose able, had accessories, and was packaged on an attractive card featuring a scene from the movie.
In paying tribute to these classic toys, Hasbro has re-released the original classic packaging to house new and improved versions of classic action figures. All figures feature ball jointed knees, ankles, elbows, shoulders and neck. The following is a closer look at the figures in this collection.
1.Sand People (aka Tusken Raider): Packaged on a classic Star Wars A New Hope card from its 1977 original release. Accessories include: gaffi stick, sniper rifle, desert cloak, and robe.
2.Greedo: Packaged on a classic Star Wars A New Hope card from its 1978 original release. Accessories include: blaster pistol, working holster, and vest
3.Han Solo in Trench Coat: Packaged on a classic Return of the Jedi card from its 1984 original release. Accessories include: blaster pistol, working holster, and trench coat.
4.Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot: Packaged on a classic Star Wars A New Hope card from its 1978 original release. Accessories include: blaster pistol, removable helmet, Lightsaber, and Lightsaber hilt.
5.Biker Scout: Packaged on a classic Return of the Jedi card from its 1983 original release. Accessories include: scout blaster and working boot holster.
As an added bonus, Hasbro has also offered a free mail in offer. Customers who purchase one of each of the figures above and send in the proofs of purchase from each card, along with $4.95 to Hasbro Toys, will get a specially produced George Lucas in Stormtrooper Disguise figure. This is an action figure of Star Wars creator George Lucas dressed as a Stormtrooper, with a removable helmet and blaster pistol.
Whether you are a die hard fan, collector, or just want to relive your childhood, these are fantastic action figures and sure to become as classic as their 20th century predecessors.
