Review of Heartland Healthcare Center in Orange Park, FL

As your driving down Wells Rd. in Orange Park from Blanding Blvd., you will follow the road until you see a sign that reads Heartland Healthcare Center. After parking your car, you will enter the main entrance, where you will be welcomed by the friendly receptionist who will ask you to sign in the notebook on her desk. Then, you will grab a clip on visitor's badge out of a small wicker basket, which is usually sitting near the black notebook. Once you have checked in with the front desk, you can go visit your loved one like I go visit my grandmother who has been in Heartland Healthcare Center for several months now.

She is receiving post-hospital care after breaking her leg as well as healing the laceration that the break had caused. My grandma loves the nurses and patient care technicians who are helping to take care of her. The room is clean whenever I visit, but grandma says the food is a lot like hospital food. My grandma has had several roommates, who have also complained about the taste of the food as well. However, the food looks healthy and scrumptious whenever they bring it to my grandma, but I haven't tasted it for myself.

The facility has a central bath, a dining room, beauty salon or barber shop, rehab center, and tons of activities for the patients to get involved in like bingo and family dinners. Heartland Healthcare Center also offer assisted living facilities for those who cannot live alone anymore. I have met many wonderful people there who I love talking too, even veteran's who served in the different branches. Furthermore, I have met many of the staff and I appreciate all they are doing to help my grandma and the other patients.

This is a fantastic facility, because it offers post-hospital care like my grandma is receiving or assisted living like some patients that need help, especially those who can no longer care for themselves. Heartland Healthcare Center offers 24 hours a day care for those patients, who they are caring for each day. Additionally, the offer wound care, hospice and Alzheimer's care, among the many other specialized medical care services listed on their website. Personally, I am relieved that my grandma is in such good hands with the staff and in a fantastic facility that has round the clock medical care for her.
