As far as I can tell, his blog, powered by WordPress, is updated almost daily with the latest offers from companies such as Easy Bake, Wal Mart and Pantene. Goob does his research well. As a matter of fact, he states that his days are spent looking for 100% legit, non-spammie freebies. If there's a good free sample out there he'll let you know and if it's not worth it he'll notify you about it-always with a good chuckle. He gave a staunch warning, through a home-made video clip, against receiving the Soy Joy Bar, but I had to sign up for one anyhow. I couldn't resist.
Of course, subscribing to HIF's email newsletter proved to be a wise decision for me-the best new offers right to my inbox. With my memory cells not working all that well these days it's nice to receive the links to the newest freebies in an email.
Furthermore, the free items found through these sites really are free. You don't have to sign up for anything or take surveys. Oh wait, perhaps I did pay a $1.00 shipping fee for a $22 bag from Easy Bake-can't argue with a twenty-one dollar savings. You have the option, obviously, to pass on such an offer. Nonetheless, most items will cost you absolutely nothing. Noteworthy to mention here is that you have to be quick sometimes as either these offers expire or are only available for one day. Goob and his staff will let you know.
Nonetheless, if you're interested in something like a free meal for your birthday, HIF has a comprehensive listing of restaurants for just such an occasion. I even found a list of museums where admission was free. Nice place to visit on your special day. As for me, I'm going to Disneyland for zero dollars and dining, without my wallet, at Red Robin's.
In any case, all the freebies are categorized on HIF, which makes it easy to find your way around. The inventory of freebies is located on the right side of the blog. Some of the categories: body products, cleaning, clothes, food, outdoors, school and sports. Just visit Hey It's Free to see the complete directory.
And by the way, did I mention Goob is a wonderful and witty writer? He is. He's also fun to watch via video and even his email updates are something you don't mind seeing in your inbox. He seems to enjoy this task of finding the best freebies and he's very good at it.
At any rate, if you're still asking, are the freebies worth it? Hey it's free! That's pretty worth it to me. Besides, today I got a coupon for a free bottle of Suave Shampoo, plus I'm anxiously waiting to see if I've won a year's supply of toilet paper. Charmin has already sent me the pretty toilet paper holder.
Hey It's Free! receives more than 1,000,000 page views a month (that should tell you something), and has about 6,000 subscribers. It's a sweet little site, family friendly, worth at least a visit from you, and the freebies will keep you coming back.

Who doesn't love free stuff! I'll have to check it out.
I love this site. I got enough freebies for my mom on her birthday to take her out for either a meal or desert every day of her birthday month. I finally just signed up for their newsletter.
