Review of the Holiday Inn Express, Lake Buena Vista East

Jennifer Habersham
The Holiday Inn Express Lake Buena Vista East is located at 3484 Polynesian Isle Blvd in Kissimmee, Florida. The hotel is approximately 2.5 miles from the Disney Ticket and Transportation Center, where you pick up the monorail that takes you to the Magic Kingdom and/or Epcot. The hotel is located in a busy area, with numerous restaurants and stores surround it. There is even a Wal-Mart across the street. If you forgot something, need gas, or feel like eating somewhere other than the amusement parks in the area, the hotel is situated in an ideal spot.

The hotel itself is very clean. The staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious. The Holiday Inn Express Lake Buena Vista East offers only non-smoking rooms, although it is obvious by the smell that at one time smoking was allowed. The smell of smoke is not overwhelming, but it is present. The beds are firm and come with several pillows (labeled firm or soft for your convenience).

The Holiday Inn Express Lake Buena Vista East offers several business amenities, which include email, copying, faxing and internet access. There is also a pool and a whirlpool for hotel guests to enjoy. The hotel provides a free continental breakfast, which offers several cereal options, hot coffee, juices, and a variety of warm breakfast foods. The sitting area where you eat your breakfast has a limited amount of tables and you may find it difficult to find a place to sit if you eat during peak times.

The biggest drawback of the Holiday Inn Express Lake Buena Vista East is that the walls are very thin. You will easily be able to listen to conversations, phone calls and the television programs of those staying in the rooms next to yours. You will also be able to hear people walking or running down the halls on the floors above you. The noises are loud enough to keep you awake in the middle of the night.

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn Express Lake Buena Vista East for business, you may want to consider staying elsewhere. The thin walls may be enough to interrupt your much needed sleep. If you are staying at the hotel while you are vacationing at the Disney World Resorts or Universal Studios, then you should find this hotel satisfactory. The hotels rooms are cheap (contact the hotel for room rates) and after walking around the parks four twelve hours, you may find that you are exhausted enough to tune out any noises.
