When you see the name of a business that says exactly what it is and where it is, you have to figure they have been around for a while. Located in Ellerslie, Georgia, Home Inspectors of Columbus is a small business that makes their living off of doing a great job. Steve Long does over 400 inspections every year.
The first thing I liked about our local home inspector, Steve Long, was how easy-going he is and how prompt and honest he was. Even though raining was pouring like crazy on the day of our home inspection, Home Inspectors of Columbus did an amazingly thorough job. He wore coveralls to keep from getting himself or the rest of the house dirty as he crawled up into the attic space and inspected the roof. Steve also crawled under the house to assess any possible wear or damage. Thanks to the rainstorm, a big leak in the master bedroom was found and Steve documented all of the appropriate data.
When we had questions, the owner of Home Inspectors of Columbus was willing to stop and talk to us about our concerns. Considering this was the first home I had ever thought about purchasing, I was completely new to the home inspection process and I certainly appreciated his candor.
As is typical of this day and age, Steve Long had a digital camera with him and took pictures of the things that he considered to be problems. Using a program called HomeGauge, the pictures were uploaded and fed into a report that was then emailed to us the very same day. We were able to see exactly what he considered to be problems and he wrote out detailed descriptions of what he considered "deal-breaker" sorts of problems.
If you are in the market for a house in Columbus Georgia, or are trying to sell your home, and want a quality home inspection, I highly recommend Steve Long and Home Inspectors of Columbus. The work is efficient, dependable, fast, and backed by years of quality service to Columbus Georgia and the surrounding area.
