Honda's CBF Stunner PGM-FI is their first fuel injected low capacity motorcycle launched in India. It was released along with CBR1000RR Fireblade and CB 1000 R in Mumbai. Stunner PGM- FI is 126 cc and has the same colors as other two motorcycles flanked with it.

If you go for the look, PGM-FI appears like the old Stunner because of its sharp edges and lines, still there is a lot of difference in its appearance because of the range of colors. Honda's CBF Stunner PGM-FI has deep shades of red and metallic silver color like those of CBR, which give a lot of splendor to PGM-FI. The engine covers have the matte golden finish. More or less, PGM-FI does not look lesser than the sibling of CBR, but in a smaller size.

The new slender PGM-FI is not unique only for its colors. The new engine is the main reason for it getting so much fame. The engine is fuel injected version with a displacement of 124.7 cc as in earlier model, but the power and the torque developed have been improved considerably. The bhp is increased by 0.6, whereas the torque is improved by 0.02kgm. The modified engine is 11.6 bhp with a torque of 11.2kgm. Although the power may not look significant as it is but the PGM-FI runs with a speed of 60 kph from the standstill position in just 6.2 seconds, which is 0.2 sec lesser than the previous model. Further it has the highest possible speed of 102kph. There is enhancement in the throttle response and the overall engine performance is smoother.

You have to be satisfied with the riding experience apart from the engine and the look. There is no much change in it, which is a positive point. It is an easy thing to get filtered out of the traffic on a stunner. Nevertheless, stunner may not be able to satisfy you on the twists. However, it is possible to fix it up if you use a better quality of tires.

Honda's CBF Stunner PGM-FI does not buzz like earlier stunner over 70 bhp that may be due to the vibrations feeling of the grips on its heavy handlebars. If unfortunately there is a spill, it has a bank angle sensor to cut out fuel supply and its engine ignition. This feature saves the severe mechanical damages in the engine as it is stopped due to no burning of fuel when the bike is on its side.

The older Honda motorcycles were preferred for their comfortable rides, and it is good that same quality has been maintained in PGM-FI. The motorcycle has a very yielding suspension which takes care of all jerks and jumps over the rise and falls on the road at a high speed. For instance, you ride smoothly over the suspension joints on bridges or flyovers. The fork and the shockers take all the bumps without feeling them.

Honda's CBF Stunner PGM-FI switch gear has been retained as earlier in the stunner PGM-FI, but the odd choke knob has been removed. Even the engine kill switch is surprisingly not there, although it may not cost you much to put in one. The dashboard instruments are simple and can be read easily. There is a malfunction indicator beside the neutral lamp but there is no tachometer.

On over all comparison with the Old CBF, PGM-FI is not a way out advanced version. The cost in Mumbai is about $1450. It is comparatively more expensive over CBF by almost $ 350. You don't get the worth of advantages in comparison to the extra money you pay, though PGM-FI is an improved version of Stunner.
