In the Bay Area land is expensive. So that means that if you want to stay in a hotel in the Bay Area you are going to have to pay. One city that is cheap in the Bay Area is San Jose. Unfortunately there are some bad areas of San Jose where most people would not want to stay. If you want to make sure you stay in a nice place in San Jose you will have to spend more money to stay at a nice hotel. Even spending more money does not guarantee you will be staying at a nice place in the Bay Area since any hotel is going to cost much more then most places. The Hotel Valencia Santana Row is located at 355 Santana Row in San Jose California. The Hotel Valencia Santana Row is more then just a hotel though it is also a bar and restaurant. While many hotels have bars and even restaurants the Hotel Valencia Santana Row is often frequented by people who are not staying at the hotel. The bar is in fact more like a night club in fact. This is about the one main problem with the Hotel Valencia Santana Row. If you stay at the Hotel Valencia Santana Row during the weekend the bar crowd can be very loud. For that reason I would not suggest staying at the Hotel Valencia Santana Row during a weekend night. The club area is separated from the rooms enough that you should not have a big problem with noise during the week. For some hotel guests though the bar is an added bonus.

Hotel Valencia Santana Row offers many amenities such as free wi-fi which is common in budget motels but not expensive motels, along with a excellent complementary continental breakfast. the breakfast is one of the best free continental breakfast I have seen and I would hardly say it is merely a continental breakfast but would say it is a standard breakfast.

The rooms are nice. If you spend a little extra you can get a balcony which offer nice views of the city. The beds are very comfortable.

Besides the loudness of the bar the only other downside is the price. Hotel Valencia Santana Row is not the most expensive hotel in the area but it is on the low end of luxury. Being in a large urban area where land is at a premium you are going to have to pay a lot to stay here. A similar hotel in another location would be cheaper. However finding good accommodations in San Jose or the Bay Area at all is hard.

I would not recommend the Hotel Valencia Santana Row during the weekend unless you like to party. I would also not recommend the Hotel Valencia Santana Row if you are cheap. You can go elsewhere to find cheaper lodging. If you do not mind paying for a nice hotel though then the Hotel Valencia Santana Row is a good choice in San Jose.
