Pros of the HP Mini 210 HD
• Keyboard- The keyboard built into the Mini 210 does not feel crammed, and is nearly as easy to use as a laptop keyboard. A major problem with netbooks is that the keyboards are often cramped, which makes it hard for quick typing.
• 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery- The battery life gets about 7-8 hours depending on the battery options picked when purchasing the netbook.
• 3 USB Ports- The included 3 USB ports are an excellent addition to this netbook. USB ports are vital for data transfer, wireless devices, and syncing handheld devices, such as an iPod and cell phone.
• HD Screen- The HD screen features a widescreen display of (1366 x 768), which allows for a bright and easy to view screen. HD makes viewing videos online when on the go a pleasurable experience. This is a perfect update from the HP Mini 210, which features a standard resolution screen.
• Design- Multiple color options, bright screen, and easy to use keyboard make the design of this netbook pleasing and fun to use.
• Webcam- The included HP Mini webcam provides clear video reception couples with the HD display.
• Weight- Weighing only 2.69lbs, the Mini 210 is the perfect travel companion for anyone who does not want to carry around a bulk, heavy, laptop.
Cons of the HP Mini 210 HD
• Buttons on trackpad- Integrated buttons on the trackpad seemed like a great idea, but the trackpad is too small for the buttons to provide a beneficial experience.
• Included memory-The 160GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive is adequate for light use, but if you want more memory, you have to upgrade the memory to a 250GB 7200RPM SATA hard drive, which is costly.
• OS- The Windows 7 Starter edition leaves much to be desired if you are looking for using the netbook for your mobile office. Of course, the OS can be upgraded, but when you add the cost of Windows 7 Office, you add to the cost of the total purchase.
Overall
Overall, the HP Mini 210 HD provides excellent features for the price of $404.99 with upgraded options. The screen is clear and vibrant and the keyboard is easy to use, which makes this small netbook perfect for web surfing. The lightweight build coupled with the small 10.1" screen is perfect for portability. However, the included OS (Windows 7 Starter) is not satisfactory for mobile office use, and requires the purchase of an upgrade, which is costly.
