The base configuration for their Pavilion dv6t series is $650 and it includes a Blu-Ray DVD player, regular DVD burner, and has all the new bells and whistles on it such as quick entertainment buttons, HD displays, and a built in camera. For a basic computer that works and has all the right accessories, it is a joy to use like every other HP computer.
What I like about this computer is that what normally what comes in a desktop is in a laptop. You can record your favorite TV shows on your computer with TV tuner if you want. Just plug it in to your television and record. Too bad the Blu-Ray drive can't record onto Blu-Ray discs yet, but give that tech a year and it will be mainstream.
Luckily they have Windows 7 instead of Vista, which is much better on HP sets like it used to be. For basic computing, this is a fine basic model for the price. It is fast and streamlined like a sports car but gets the job done like an SUV. It's your sports car and utility all in one. It's the perfect size because it's not too big and not too small.
All of the HP accessories that come with computers are always fun to get with a laptop. Wireless mice, printers, and larger keyboards all work with this HP number as per usual. I can't wait to try my headphones on this sucker if we buy this in a week. Definitely get one that is outfitted with Bluetooth for all your wireless attaching needs, and getting a Verizon wireless card is nice too when you sign up for their service and get a connection where ever you can.
Overall, the HP dv6t computer is a nice addition to the line and will certainly do well in sales. It makes a good basic computer and allows all kinds of add ons that will jazz it up even more. For a standard size laptop it is a good choice.
